Tehran's real face exposed
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 04 - 01 - 2016

RIYADH – The Kingdom expressed its strong condemnation and categorical rejection of all hostile statements by the Iranian regime regarding the Shariah verdicts carried out against 47 terrorists in the Kingdom, an official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said early on Sunday.
The source said that the statements by the Iranian regime expose its real face in supporting terrorism. This is considered to be a continuation of its policies in destabilizing the security and stability of the region's countries, SPA said.
The Iranian regime's defense and justification of terrorist acts make it an accomplice in these crimes and it bears full responsibility for its policies of incitement.
The Iranian regime is the last in the world that can accuse others of supporting terrorism, as it is a state that sponsors terrorism and it has been condemned by the UN and many countries. This is confirmed by the inclusion of a number of Iranian government institutions on terror list by the UN.
Aside from this, Iran has been providing a safe haven for leading figures of Al-Qaeda since 2001. It has also provided shelter to one of the Saudis since 1996. He was involved in the Al-Khobar blasts that were claimed by the so-called Al-Hijaz Hezbollah. He was arrested last year with an Iranian passport.
The source also highlighted the blatant Iranian interference in the affairs of the region's countries including Iraq, Yemen, Lebanon and Syria, where it interfered directly through the Revolutionary Guard and Shiite militias from Lebanon. This resulted in the killing of over 250,000 Syrians in cold blood and displacing over 12 million.
Apart from these, cells belonging to the Iranian regime were busted for smuggling weapons and explosives to Bahrain and Kuwait. Cells belonging to Iran were also apprehended in Saudi Arabia carrying out acts targeting the Kingdom and other Gulf countries.
The source said the Iranian regime's blind sectarianism does not realize that Shariah is implemented according to the fairness of justice and equality. It does not discriminate between sects. The Kingdom's judiciary is independent, just and transparent. It does not know evil and discrimination. It does not function secretly, the way it is done in Iran.
The Council of Senior Scholars also condemned the statements by a number of Iranian clerics on the judicial verdicts against the terrorists in the Kingdom.
A statement issued Sunday by the Secretariat General of the Council said these statements are irresponsible.
"This is not strange of a sectarian regime that is well-known for practicing sectarianism by supporting the Popular Movement in Iraq that kills people according to their identity cards. This regime also supports the terrorist Syrian regime that has killed hundreds of thousands of its people and displaced millions. The whole Muslim world stands against the Iranian sectarian practices that harm Muslim unity," the statement said.
The Council said the Iranian regime has not served the Muslims' causes, especially the Palestinians cause, but it exists on propaganda in its media. Its attempts to cloud Haj, which is a great occasion for showing Muslim unity, will not be forgotten.
The Council urged the whole Muslim world, especially its religious institutions and scholars, to condemn these irresponsible statements and practices that are a blatant interference in matters concerning judicial Shariah verdicts issued by the country of the Two Holy Mosques.
