Infiniti Q70 crowned as the Best Luxury Sedan
Published in The Saudi Gazette on 24 - 10 - 2015

Infiniti, the official dealer of Infiniti cars in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, participated in the hotly anticipated 9th edition of International Luxury Motor Show (EXCS), held on Oct. 20-22 in Riyadh. The company made best use of the glamorous event to reveal its latest collection of cars for the new model year 2016.
During the official opening day of the show, which was attended by His Highness the Minister of Transport, Engineer Abdullah bin Abdulrahman Al Muqbel, Al Ghassan Motors – Infiniti revealed the new 2016 Q70 sedan. It boasts an exciting exterior look encompassing a spirited performance and a plethora of innovative technologies, all wrapped in a package brimming with finesse and an emotional personality.
After revealing the new car, Yousef Al Sulaiman, Vice President of Al Ghassan Motors, said: "We are proud of our ability to provide our discerning clientele with beautifully crafted premium cars that enjoy leading standards of safety, technology and performance. Our new Q70 model sets new standards in the premium segment, thanks to a series of advancements that result in awe-inspiring levels of luxury and performance. We are confident of the car's appeal to our clients in the Kingdom."
Infiniti designers were keen to endow the new car with a new exterior design language that is both exciting and classy. The flowing lines are emotional in a subtle way, and the LED headlamps embody Infiniti's character in a smart and unforgettable manner. As for the new three-dimensional front grille, it presents itself clearly due to highly detailed curvaceous elements and chrome surrounds.
The attractive exterior theme continues into the interior, which reflects great craftsmanship and utmost care to details, by using high quality materials like genuine leather and hand-made wood trims. Moreover, Infiniti designers went to great lengths to ensure a highly practical arrangement of switchgear to avoid driver distraction.
An Infiniti is never complete without a powerful engine. Beneath the hood, lies an aluminum alloy six-cylinder 3.7-liter engine generating 329 hp at 7,000 rpm along with 363 NM of torque. It benefits from DOHC technology and 24 valves, along with a Variable Valve and Event Lift (VVEL), which combines hydraulic-controlled variable valve timing and electronically controlled variable valve lift on the intake side to help improve performance and response. The car is also available with an eight-cylinder 5.6-liter engine providing 402 hp at 6,000 rpm along with 550 NM of torque.
The launching of the new Infiniti Q70 enjoyed a rewarding climax, when His Highness the Minister of Transport Abdullah Al-Moqbel presented the Best Luxury Sedan reward to Mr. Yousef Ghassan Al-Sulaiman, Vice President of Al Ghassan Motors, for the new Infiniti Q70. The car was selected by a jury made up of members in the media industry present in the show.
It adds to a growing list of achievements that Al Ghassan Motors amassed this year. Mr. Yousef Al Ghassan expressed his gratitude upon receiving the reward, and thanked the jury for their trust in the new Infiniti Q70.
Additionally, Al Ghassan Motors is continuously seeking to expand its activities and investments in Infiniti cars to satisfy customer demand, especially in aftersales service. In that regard, the company achieved important accomplishments in record-breaking time in terms of opening comprehensive centers in major cities, along with expanding into other cities and provinces across the Kingdom by appointing dealers and distributors in those areas. — SG
