Published in The Saudi Gazette on 12 - 12 - 2011

Christian Watford hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer Saturday to give Indiana a 73-72 victory over top-ranked Kentucky in Bloomington, Ind.
Earlier in the day, No. 2 Ohio State also lost, to No. 13 Kansas, 78-67.
Watford finished with 20 points, giving the Hoosiers their first upset of a top-ranked team since they took down Duke in the 2002 NCAA tournament.
The Hoosiers (9-0) are off to their best start since 1989-90.
Doron Lamb scored 19 points to lead the Wildcats (8-1).
The teams traded leads five times in the final two minutes, but Kentucky missed the front end of a one-and-one with 28.8 seconds left and the first of two free throws with 5.6 seconds to go.
On Indiana's last possession, Verdell Jones dribbled into the frontcourt, toward the corner, then stopped and flipped the ball back to an open Watford, who made his fourth 3 of the game.
Kansas 78, Ohio State 67: Thomas Robinson scored 21 points, and host Kansas (6-2) never trailed Ohio State, which played a second straight game without the star forward Jared Sullinger because of his back spasms.

Xavier 76, Cincinnati 53: Eighth-ranked Xavier's victory over its visiting crosstown rival was called with 9.4 seconds left as the teams brawled in a corner of the court. Xavier center Kenny Frease bled from a gash below his eye after he was punched and then kicked as he lay on the floor.
Syracuse 85, Geo. Wash. 50: Dion Waiters had 19 points and 6 steals, both career highs, and Kris Joseph added 9 points and 8 rebounds for No. 3 Syracuse (10-0). Visiting George Washington (4-5) has lost four straight.
