Published in The Saudi Gazette on 12 - 12 - 2011

Udinese moved top of Serie A with a 2-1 win against Chievo, while AC Milan missed the chance to join it after being held to an entertaining 2-2 draw at Bologna Sunday.
Antonio Di Natale scored his 10th of the season for Udinese and Dusan Basta doubled its lead before Alberto Paloschi grabbed a consolation goal for Chievo. Udinese is a point clear of Juventus, which has played a game less, and two points ahead of Milan.
Marco Di Vaio put Bologna ahead but goals from Clarence Seedorf and Zlatan Ibrahimovic, from the penalty spot, then swung the match Milan's way. Alessandro Diamanti equalized for Bologna in the 73rd minute.
Elsewhere, Atalanta drew 1-1 at home to 10-man Catania and Parma held Cagliari to a goalless draw.
Malaga salvages a draw
Malaga salvaged a 1-1 home draw against Osasuna Sunday to maintain its place among Spain's Europa League contenders.
The draw kept Manuel Pellegrini's team in sixth place, behind Sevilla on goal difference, and two points ahead of Osasuna.
Earlier, struggling Sporting Gijon won 3-1 at Rayo Vallecano, and 10-man Real Sociedad drew 1-1 at Villarreal to extend its unbeaten run to four games.
Also, Getafe remained undefeated in its last six home games as it edged Granada 1-0 thanks to Javier Casquero's 78th-minute blast from outside the area.
Mallorca got its first away win of the season as it beat last-place Zaragoza 1-0 thanks to Victor Casadesus' first-half goal.
Barcelona overcame an early goal to beat Real Madrid 3-1 Saturday to move top of the table. Barcelona is ahead of its fierce rival on goal difference, although Madrid has a game in hand.
Also, Levante edged Sevilla 1-0 to remain in pull to within one-point of third-place Valencia, which lost 2-1 at Real Betis after two stoppage-time goals by Ruben Castro.
Anelka moving to China
Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua said Sunday they had agreed contract terms with Chelsea's Nicolas Anelka.
“We have agreed on all the contract details and we are only waiting for him to sign it,” club official Ma Yue told Reuters by telephone.
Ma would not reveal details of the contract for French striker Anelka but added that the club would issue a statement Monday.
Ma also said several Chinese teams were interested in signing Anelka's teammate Didier Drogba and had been in contact with the Ivory Coast forward.
“So far, on Drogba to move to Shenhua, our club has no clear confirmation,” added Ma.
