The satellite music channel ‘Rotana' has begun airing the latest music video for prominent Kuwaiti singer Nawal titled “Leesh” (Why). The clip was directed by Lebanese director Sofie Butros and was filmed in different locations in Turkey. Sofie stated that the filming was done without any complications and the story is a simple one about a woman who looks for her lost love in the same special places they used to meet in the past. Sofie added that Turkey was chosen to film the clip in based on Nawal's wishes. The song is written by poet Sari and composed by prominent Iraqi singer Majed Al-Muhandis. According to the London-based Elaph, the clip marks the first cooperation between Nawal and Sofie. Sofie had previously worked with prominent Saudi singer Rashed Al-Majed for the clip “Ishan Al Hub” (For Love) and with singer Abd Al-Majeed Abdullah for the clip “Hudoo') (Silence), and other singers as well.
