Friendster and NCB Auto Lease prevail in thrillers

Friendster defeated Solid North 75-72 in the JBL-Titan basketball championship at the Bin Mahfouz basketball court here.
Friendster maintained its cool in the crucial moments. Its Pat Cecilio converted his two free throws to ice the game. He led the winner with 18 points and was adjudged as the Titan best player of the game while Castillo scored 22 points for Solid North.
This tournament is principally sponsored by Titan–Al-Hussaini & Yahya Investment Group with co-sponsors Giordano Fashions, ABS-CBN – The Filipino Channel, Al-Haddaf Sports Wear and Wael Sports Wear.
NCB Auto Lease beat Al-Saad 68-65. It was a close game till the final buzzer. Al-Saad Gallarter unleashed two 3-pointers with one minute. But the winner immediately summoned for a ceasefire and planned its final offense to score its first win.
Alcanar topscored with 19 points for the winner and was adjudged as the Giordano best player of the game. Padilla drilled in 29 points for the loser.
Diet Shop bounced back from its defeat by beating El Macho 66-63. Both teams played well as if it is a championship game. Rudolf was all over the floor for the winner with his deadly medium range shooting. He scored 17 points for the winner and was adjudged as the JBL best player of the game. Caisip scored 30 points for El Macho.
In the Friday's Erfan Hospital Inter-Color division, Cath Lab beat E-Sharks 57-44. The winner's running game was too much was for the loser initially. However, the loser slowly trimmed down the lead. But Cath Lab's Monci Gutierez showed his offensive skill and scored 25 points for the winner. He was adjudged as the Al-Haddaf best player of the game. Mark Gutierrez chipped in 10 points for the loser.
OR Nafa defeated Route 59-48. Mark Lapidez topscored with 16 points for the OR Nafa and was adjudged as the Wael Sports best player of the game while Buboy Tabuena had 12 points for the loser.
In another match, Medical Record beat E.R. team 54-28. David Leyva led Med Rec with 13 points and was adjudged as Titan best player of the game. Rex Arcilla scored 8 points for the loser.
