A young Saudi's scientific innovations in serving people with special needs have earned him an honorary doctorate degree from University of Dublin, California in the United States. The university recognized the contribution of the young Saudi, Mishaal Hisham Harsani, in creating several modern facilities for the disabled to help them adapt the global technological advancement. Harsani told Okaz that his 17-year association with Prince Abdul Majeed Bin Abdul Aziz Center for the Care of Gifted Children with Special Need helped him greatly in his innovative ways. Harsani's innovations are a mobile telephone, chessboard, bowling alley, Saudi currency for the blind, and aircraft seats for the disabled. Harsani said he displayed these inventions in several local and foreign exhibitions and conferences including the one held by the Saudi Embassy in Paris. Harsani was also part of Prince Abdul Majeed Center's delegation at Janadriyah Festival and was honored to greet King Abdullah, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques. Harsani participated in the First Saudi Innovations Exhibition organized by King Abdul Aziz Foundation for the Gifted in Riyadh. Harsani says he has interactions with many global charitable societies working for the people of special needs.
