WE do not need new Lessons from Sweden!!
Published in Alriyadh on 21 - 08 - 2012

Following the footsteps of Germany where one of the courts permitted republishing the pictures which are abusive to Messenger Muhammad, God's peace be upon him; Sweden came along to provide lessons about governments' systems and to subject the Kingdom to a campaign which is arranged earlier through a racial motive similar to the rise of the new nazis in Germany. We do not know the purpose of such attack in spite of that it has never been subjected to any criticism or attack from the Kingdom. In spite of its democratic system and economic boom; we neither realized any impressive attitude taken from its side in regard to the crises of our region nor witnessed any criticism to Israel's practices adopted by it as no European party dares to address any blame to it in regard to such policies.
The confusing aspect in these issues is that every European country seeks to make itself the ideal political and social model for others with no consideration to the religious, traditional and customary variations, in addition to that the environment that formed such societies can never be identical with the Western communities that permitted the marriage between people from the same sex such as a man with a man or a woman with a woman. Such permissibility is not even available in Animal Kingdom. We are not concentrating on the Western negative model only here as it has its great achievements which influence on the present international civilization can never be ignored.
Sweden did not jump over history and bypass its rural life within 24 hours as it passed through a barbaric stage followed by a religious one before reaching the democratic phase. However, it has not been subjected to the tragedies and wars that happened in the Arab region due to its being the center of religions and the matrix of the old civilizations. Sweden is passing through the journey of development and advancement now but we want to remind the Swedish people here that the material and nutritional aids provided by the Kingdom to the Poor countries, in addition to the educational support and elimination of epidemics is more than the amounts of the same type provided by Sweden in spite of that the latest is the richest country in Europe. However, Sweden has been far away from any visible bestowal while an influential role equal to its economic size in regard to the international policy course, is invisible, too as its achievements are not equal to the ones made by or provided from South Korea for example.
The pragmatic diplomacy is run on the base of interests' concept rather than interfering in other countries affairs. We have economic and diplomatic relationships and links with Sweden which maintaining should be based on mutual respect as each country has its own dignity. We have started through a principal based on not to interfere in the problems and affairs of other countries. We believe that keeping the relationship based on stable values is a sort of political courtesy.
It is the concern of the Western countries to enable their constitution to provide freedom in all aspects but such freedom should not be transformed to an insult to our religious, cultural and moral heritage. Otherwise, such freedom will be a law imposed on others. Sweden is a part from a big world which has its own laws into which it does not allow anyone to interfere.
We respect the Swedish nation and do not consider it an enemy, in addition to believing that it represents an elegant and fine model. We welcome any disagreement which is based on objective grounds in a similar way to our relationships with the other countries that have been always a hub for dialogues and mutual understanding. We believe that an unjustified attack on a country which decision and freedom is owned by itself only does not serve the interest of any one as such attacked country does not need lessons or sermons from any party. Being satisfied or angry from any regime does not provide any party with the right of accusation, regardless of the reasons.
