I had the honor of heading the meeting of Gulf Journalist Union held in Bahrain last Wednesday. When I say that I was honored, it means that each member colleague represented a head through his ideas, activities and permanent attendance follow up. This is the reality of a required necessity because those who belong to administration council represent prominent media competencies, on the one hand, and represent real national privacy in regard to the general conditions in the Arab World known as the gulf privacy where the economic abilities and high standard education levels are available, on the other hand. These factors call for a press which is very far from the conditions of quarrels and individual, tribal or sectarian isolation. They call for a press that considers its gulf duties in regard to their necessity and importance at the same time, where the journalist is equal to the state officer, company officer, opinion writer or special responsibilities man. In such press, there should be coherent cultural awareness and efficient media communication that lead the communities which are close from each other towards the proofs of that real and big abilities proximity. In this regard; I would like to express a lot of appreciation for the Kingdom of Bahrain, through its various competent responsibilities, for the support, celebration and kind appreciation it provided. In last Wednesday meeting; all of us felt the pleasure resulted from welcoming the Deputy Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Muhammad Bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, where it was very interesting and pleasant to feel the general approval about the concepts and emotions in whatever subjects that have been discussed, including the particulars of development pathways known by him. His Highness Sheikh Fawaz Bin Muhammad Bin Khalifa, Chief of Public Information Body in Kingdom of Bahrain, delivered a refined speech during the meeting that led us to feel the strong link of citizenship and fellowship through what is more than a media presence which Bahrain is happy to lead towards success for expanding the media awareness levels and bringing them closer to each other in all Arabian Gulf societies. With such linguistic style delivered by His Excellency Sheikh Fawaz; the individual feels more secured in regard to reaching a better reality.
