17The confused or the chosen?
Published in Alriyadh on 18 - 09 - 2011

Before long years when I started reading and understanding there was a flow of ideology that states that Jews consider their selves to be Allah's chosen people. The reason was not that Judaism was the first religion in the Middle East, but I believe that the quality of the Jewish presence before the existence of a country for them by invading what they could of Palestine's land. The presence quality when they are a migrating groups in the advanced countries such as Spain and Germany before Hitler's era. The same thing is said about a number of European countries, then their special distinguish in America. That presence was distinguished with cultural and economic potentials where they were not a discriminated group in any place that they seek for shelter. We were, and still are for sure, mock this concept that was resembled in the existence of a country, and if it was not for the announced American support to it they wouldn't avoid the hardships of any international decisions.
What can we say about a number of Arab societies if we revised their history since at least seventy years when Damascus used to resemble the first presence that wanted to unite Arabs in one opposition side against the European invasion, then what the results of the second world war expressed of eliminating the Arabs of any special importance.
We wonder: what is the relation of the current reality with that old reality that spread to a lot of Arab capitals that militarily overthrew the old systems and proposed slogans that promised democracy, freedom and equality? How was the path of these beginnings of at least seven Arab republics? What is the freedom that meant random interference or the democracy that can't be practiced by citizens in which illiteracy among its individuals is double the number of the educated individuals, along with the low economies that didn't stop unemployment and opened the doors for job opportunities the same way other people did in China and India, and the same way a small and not rich people such as Vietnam before long years build itself.
The succession of what is not less than seventy years used to confirm that no freedom or democracy was provided, and that all what was provided is the diversity of conflict chances in the competition for ruling.
What is happening now doesn't mean that the systems that kill people in the street are not condemned, because they are worse than terrorism, but it also means that the people that were surrounded with poverty, unemployment and the isolation of the cultural and civilization presence found their selves obliged to face the diversity of hardships.
Is it valid to say about Arab citizens that they are Allah's confused people and not the chosen one? Despite that it has the most population with the biggest natural resources and the nearest to the national leaderships in its history, but it has multiple concern and distress in its presence mazes.
