The Arab Association for Perfumes, the representative of the International
Association for Perfumes in the Middle East, announced the first summit for
perfumes that the Middle East witness that will be held in Dubai in the 26th and
27th of September.
Shahrazard Haidar, the president of the Arab Association for Perfumes council,
announced that in a press conference that a lot perfume manufacturing leaders
of the region attended.
The summit is organized under the "bridge towards creativity" slogan that
targets to combine between the international and regional companies in perfume
making under one umbrella and to start an international dialogue to give the
space for exchanging ideas between the perfume manufacturers regionally and
internationally as will as providing a golden chance to look over the perfume
manufacturing in the Middle East and highlight the Eastern Authentic Perfumes
in the Middle East region.
The perfume market in the Middle East has big potentials that effectively
contribute in the development of this sector with the progressive attention
from the youth to trends and the excellent presence and increase in spending in
perfumes sectors, where a survey showed that the perfume market size in the
Middle East would reach to 10 trillion dollars in 2015.
Shahrazad Haidar said that the perfumes market wasn't negatively affected
from the financial crisis despite the economic recession in the region, while the
consumption of perfumes for an individual in the region is considered to be one
of the highest rates in the world with around 380 dollars per individual.
The Middle East summit for perfumes is organized in coincide with the huge
development of the perfume manufacturing internationally and regionally, and
it is expected that the international market size will increase, where it reached
17 trillion American dollars in 2010, and it will reach around 33.5 trillion
dollars in 2015. The manufacturing specialists anticipate that the perfume
manufacturing will witness a notable development in the next five years in the
Middle East worth around 3.5 trillion dollars, proving itself to be one of the
fastest developing sectors globally.
The Eastern perfumes in considered to be an important product that influence
the development of the international perfume markets where it proved its
existence in this important sector because of its unique combination between the
traditional Arab perfumes and the well known international brands.
