Accreditation of new hospital for psychological health and medication of addiction in " Riyadh " with capacity of five hundred ( 500 ) beds . .

Among sixteen ( 16 ) hospitals that been accredited to be established in kingdom areas . .

The official spokesman of the Ministry of Health " Doctor Khalid Marghalani " announced the accreditation of establishing of a new hospital for psychological health and medication of addiction in " Riyadh " province , with capacity of five hundred ( 500 ) beds , with a total cost of three hundred and fifty ( 350 ) million riyals , to be as a reserve of the existing Al Amal ( hope ) complex and psychological health , so as to increase the number of specialized beds for the psychological health in " Riyadh " to one thousand ( 1000 ) beds . .
" Doctor Mraghalani " mentioned that the Ministry had took an implementations steps toward duplicating of the beds for medication of the psychological diseases and addiction , where the existing beds are two thousand , eight hundred and eleven ( 2811 ) beds , while the beds under construction within the new hospitals are , four thousand , one hundred and fifty ( 4150 ) beds , aiming to contain a bigger percentage of the patients , and treat them through implementing a new projects , including sixteen ( 16 ) new hospitals for psychological health and medication of addiction , which are distributed on the different areas of the kingdom , with capacities between two hundred ( 200 ) to five hundred ( 500 ) beds for each hospital , where some of them will be completed during the next short period , according to the schedule that been showed . . "Doctor Marghalani " also emphasized that the attention of the Ministry of Health toward medication of psychological diseases and addiction is coming from , its believe in the right of psychological treatment for all society levels , which is guaranteed by the basic system of ruling , as well as international conventions and international human laws . . he also explained that , the services specialized for the psychological patients should take a social trajectory , in order to decrease the feeling of social disgrace for the patient and their families and parents , which may affect them when they entering to the psychological clinics , emphasizing on the importance of the participation of the media in awareness and education , to face these wrong connotations , and to inform the community about the psychological disease as a disease that any one can be infected with it , due to some circumstances that he may face , exactly as same as any physical diseases , that may need some specialized required medications from specialists . .
Doctor Marghalani added that there are twenty ( 20 ) existing hospitals for psychological health and medication of addiction , in all areas of the kingdom with capacity of two thousand , eight hundred and eleven ( 2811 ) beds , which are distributed between male and female patients , including three ( 3 ) centers specialized in addiction medication , and ninety four ( 94 ) psychological and addiction medication clinic , which are attached to the public hospitals , in all areas and provinces of the kingdom , while the man power working therein according to the professions are : six hundred and seventy two ( 627 ) doctors , four hundred and six ( 406 ) psychological specialist , seven hundred and twenty four ( 724 ) social specialist , and three thousand and twenty five ( 3025 ) psychological nurse . .
