The regional ministerial conference on civil aviation security in Africa and Middle East, hosted by the ministry of civil aviation of Egypt, in collaboration with ICAO, started here today under the theme: Global Aviation Security Plan (GASEP). A big number of transport and aviation ministers from Africa and Middle East, representatives of Arab and African aviation authorities, as well as the President of ICAO Dr. Bernard Elio and aviation security experts take part in the three-day event. Abdulhakeem bin Mohammed Al-Tamimi, Chief of Saudi Civil Aviation authority, who leads his country's delegation to the conference, said the event would contribute to the regional and international civil aviation security, citing great projects to be discussed on the agenda.
