Public Prosecutor: any share of ideas carrying harmful contents to society to be dealt with by the Public Prosecution

The Public Prosecutor Sheikh Saud bin Abdullah Al-Muajab has affirmed that any share that carries harmful contents to the society, whatever its material, pretexts and means of publication, will directly be prosecuted by the Public Prosecution according to its national scope and in accordance with the legitimate and legal requirements, including media publications, social media, lectures, speeches, books and others.
He said that this comes due to the great importance of the word requiring the Public Prosecution according to its powers to follow the word's dangerous angles when it exceeds the ceiling of its legitimate and wide-ranging freedom to carry out harmful acts threatening the going stray of the social moderation to the point of extremism, including inciting hatred, sectarianism and intellectual and sectarian classifications as well as attempts to mislead the public opinion.
The Public Prosecutor further said that the Public Prosecution has the public jurisdiction that allows it to initiate criminal proceedings in all crimes in accordance with Articles (13, 15 and 17) of the Criminal Procedure Code.
He added that the Public Prosecution, while stressing this, is also fully aware of respect for freedom of opinion and protection of its legitimate immunity which is enriched its giving and constructive criticism at "National, Scientific, Educational and Intellectual" levels, thus the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has had with all these "Sincere" "Conscious" and "Bold" contributions, a global presence classified among the first pioneers in its enlightened competitiveness and interaction, in line with the reformative and civilized approach, and that every sincere one will not accept abusing those gains, both at the level of confiscation of their legitimate freedom, or deviation from their path of awareness and discipline.
