King Salman has been awarded Prince Naïf Medal for Arab Security (Excellent Grade) by the Arab Interior Ministers Council in recognition of his pioneering role in supporting Arab and Islamic issues as well as maintaining global security and peace. Words fall short of describing King Salman's achievements, especially in bolstering the joint Arab work, his incessant efforts to safeguard the security stability of the region and his unwavering support for the Palestinian cause. In the Arab Summit concluded recently in Jordan, he reiterated that regional events shall not distract Arabs at the expense of the Palestinian issue. Observers deem this confirmation as restoring the Palestinian issue to its normal position as the core issue of the Arabs. As regards Arab security, the Arab coalition supporting Yemeni legitimacy and the initiative of establishing an Islamic counterterrorism alliance are turning points in the positive and unified Arab work. This has transferred Arab stances from being reactive to taking progressive action and making the future. This Saudi trend dates back to the era of late King Abdul Aziz who made early warnings of the risks endangering the region. Such risks would have been avoided joint efforts been exerted. In his speech before the Arab Interior Ministers' conference, Prince Mohammed bin Naif set forth the outlines of the Arab security system as one of the most successful systems in terms of integration and coordination.
