Yemeni legitimate government confronted plans of the Houthi militias and ousted Saleh to hijack the educational process and change the curriculum, in accordance with instructions of foreign agendas, to dictate sectarianism.
There are need to address and stand in front of what putschists trial to change curriculum and pumping sectarian thought into the curriculum, Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Maj. Gen. Hussein Arab stated.
For his part, Yemeni Minister of Education Dr. Abdullah Lamlams said that the Huthi militias have destroyed 1,700 schools during a war it launched, in the provinces, in less than two years, pointing out that the Ministry of Education is making great efforts to develop a program to sustain comprehensive rehabilitation of students and pupils.
The governor of Aden Maj. Gen. Aidaruss al-Zubaidi expressed aspiration to develop educational curriculum that would create creativity and excellence for a generation to cope with the state of art of the day, efficiently.
Over the past two years, Houthi's militia and forces loyal to deposed Saleh have denied Yemen's children education and jeopardized them, by coercive recruiting.
Houthis have, also, denied more than 2.5 million students the right to education, by force, in addition to shelling, raiding schools and turning them into military posts and weapons depots.
Furthermore, parents expressed fear of sectarian mobilization by the Houthis, especially after Yahaya al-Huthi, recent declaration of establishing the so-called National Salvation Government.
The Media Center of the Yemeni revolution, in a report, said that the Houthi militia and the coup forces, made 279 violations against education's process, only during the last year, in Sana'a alone.
Yemeni Houthi rebels
Al-Houthi group had ordered printing of more than 11,000 small pamphlets bearing the thought of Hussain al-Huthi and the group's slogans for distribution, at schools controlled either by the militias or forces loyal to deposed Saleh, Yemeni independent sources reported.
These actions broke out with their Saleh's allies, refusing to compromise curricula, fearing to lose supporters, as the whole society rejects Huthi sectarian, ideas, altogether.
Al-Huthi militias, in Sana'a, imposed compulsory levy on all students, in public schools, in Sana'a, under the name of "Community contribution", in the education process, despite long-standing and officially declared free education system.
