Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann
Published in Alriyadh on 22 - 02 - 2017

appears to have dealt the Reds a blow in their hopes of signing him in the summer.
The 25-year-old became Atletico Madrid's top Champions League goalscorer after scoring in Los Colchoneros' 4-2 win over Bayer Leverkusen on Tuesday.
The France star's 13th goal in Europe's premier competition broke a club record that had stood for more than 40 years.
And, speaking after the game, Griezmann appeared to distance himself from speculation linking him with a move away from the Vicente Calderon.
"I'm proud to become part of Atletico's history with my goal and hopefully I can carry on making history here," he said.
Rooney has been back in training ahead of the EFL Cup final
Griezmann has been earmarked as a long-term replacement for United skipper Wayne Rooney.
And Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian have made 'an approach' for the 32-year-old, according to boss Fabio Cannavaro.
The Reds' record goalscorer has been heavily linked with a move to the Far East ahead of the Chinese transfer window closing on Tuesday.
Tianjin Quanjian are one of only three CSL teams who currently have a slot available for a foreign player.
But it seems Rooney was the club's second-choice option behind Borussia Dortmund star Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
"We did make an approach for Rooney, but it was just chit-chat because he simply doesn't suit our style of play," Cannavaro told Tianjin TV.
"No further discussion was necessary. The truth is we had more frequent contact with Aubameyang.
"Unfortunately, our bid was rejected by Borussia Dortmund who said he was needed in this season's Champions League."
In terms of incomings, Barcelona have held a 'secret meeting' with reported United target Marco Verratti, according to reports.
The 24-year-old is rated as one of the world's most talented playmakers and has been at the heart of PSG's recent success.
And Sport claim that Barcelona officials met Verratti's representatives ahead of the club's Champions League clash last week.
Verratti previously admitted he would only leave PSG to move to the Nou Camp.
"Even though I am currently in a good project and I feel at home, any player would play for Barcelona," he said.
"It is still the best team in the world.
"They have the three best players in attack, and Iniesta too."
