Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Chairs Cabinet's Session

The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet's session at Al-Yamamah palace in Riyadh on Monday afternoon.
At the outset of the session, the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques expressed, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, his thanks and appreciation to the leaders and heads of delegations of Arab and South American countries who participated in the 4th Summit of Arab and South American countries for their appreciation of the Kingdom's efforts in the organization and success of the summit, stressing the King's speech in opening the summit, his emphasis on the importance of relations between the two sides, the Kingdom's keenness on developing and enhancing them in all fields, his satisfaction with the consensus and convergence of view points on many international issues, his looking forward to coordinating positions towards issues at the international arena, fighting terrorism and extremism, spreading the culture of peace and dialogue, and his call for the establishment of business councils for the promotion and protection of investments to provide a regulatory and legal framework for the promotion of trade flows between the two sides.
The Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the results of meetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques with a number of leaders of countries who participated in the Summit during which they reviewed the topics on the agenda of the summit and the efforts being exerted to strengthen the areas of coordination in matters of common interest between Arab and South American countries.
The Minister of Social Affairs and Acting Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said in a statement to Saudi Press Agency following the session that the Cabinet expressed its congratulations to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Vice Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on the achievements of the 4th Summit of Arab and South American countries hosted by the Kingdom of unprecedented success in its comprehensiveness and number and quality of the topics dealt with, commending the final statement issued by the summit and Riyadh Declaration which has no reservation from any country on any item of its provisions which embodies strong relations and keenness of participating countries on strengthening them in all fields.
The Cabinet underscored the importance of convening the Group of Twenty summit amid critical international economic and political circumstances that require unification of the world position to confront these issues, asserting that the Saudi delegation's participation in the summit, headed by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, reflects the prestigious status occupied by the Kingdom under the King's leadership and the effective role it is playing politically and economically at the regional and international arenas.
The Cabinet lauded the speech delivered by the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the dinner session held in honor of the leaders and heads of delegations participating in the summit which is being held in Turkey under the title 'Global Challenges: Terrorism and Refugees Crisis', referring to the King's denunciation and condemnation of the terrorist explosions that took place Paris recently, his call on the world community to redouble its efforts to eradicate terrorism and rid the world of its evils, highlighting the Kingdom's keenness to steadfastly and firmly fight this plague, particularly that it attributes its acts to Islamic justifications, his call for cooperation and collective initiative to reach real international solutions to the critical challenges facing the countries of the world through addressing the terrorism fighting or refugees problem or enhancing confidence in the world economy.
The Cabinet also reiterated the Kingdom's thanks to and appreciation for the great efforts being exerted by the government of the Republic of Turkey, led by President Recep Tayyip Erdogan of the Republic of Turkey, to host the summit.
The minister said the Cabinet reiterated the denunciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its condemnation of the terror explosions which recently hit the Lebanese and French capitals, leaving a number of victims and injuries, expressing the condolences of the Kingdom to the governments and peoples of the two countries on the dead, and wishing the injured a quick recovery, also reiterating the call of the Kingdom for more efforts to root-out this dangerous plague which targets security and stability of the entire world, without exception.
On the local arena, the Cabinet lauded the efforts being exerted by the Ministry of Interiorâ€TMs National Anti-narcotics Committee to implement the national project for preventing drugs (Nebras), calling on all relevant agencies to contribute to this project and praised the efforts of all security bodies aiming to preserve the security of the country, citing the measures they are taking to control and apprehend drug trafficking and promoting gangs.
