Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques graces ceremony by people of Makkah Region

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud graced this evening the grand ceremony held by the people of Makkah region in celebration of his assumption of power in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Upon arrival of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques at the venue of the ceremony along Makkah/Jeddah highway, he was received by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, Advisor to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and Governor of Makkah Region, Prince Mishaal bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Jeddah, and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif bin Abdul Aziz, Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques met mayors of Makkah region and a number of people who lined up to welcome him.
After sitting in the main podium, the royal anthem was played. Then, the ceremony began with a recitation of the Holy Quran.
Then, a number of prominent figures delivered welcoming speeches in which they extended their pledge of allegiance and loyalty to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, the Crown Prince and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Defense, praying to Allah Almighty to bless the efforts of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and preserve him as an asset to Islam and Muslims.
Afterwards, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the audience watched a number of shows and popular chants in addition to a drama played by a number of artists.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud received from the people of Makkah region a commemorative gift, a model of the door of the Kaaba. The Crown Prince and the Deputy Crown Prince also received two similar gifts.
After that, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques made a tour in the exhibition held on this occasion.
Following that, the king was briefed on a number of development projects carried out by the government in Makkah for the comfort and well-being of citizens, residents, pilgrims and visitors. Those projects included the Two Holy Mosques train project, Jabal Omar project, Khandmh Mount project and the expansion of Northern squares of the Grand Mosque project, in addition to the development projects that are curried out in the provinces of Jeddah and Taif.
Then, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques made a tour in the exhibition of popular markets which is famous in Makkah and watched the contents of it which included industries, handcrafts, and popular cuisine.
Then, the king graced the dinner banquet held on this occasion which was attended by a number of princes and others.
Afterwards, the king left Makkah for Jeddah and arrived there later yesterday evening.
