Ayoon Wa Azan (Israel Does Not Want Obama)
Published in AL HAYAT on 20 - 03 - 2013

U.S. President Barack Obama arrives in Israel today, on his first visit abroad after winning a second term in the White House. The visit is ostensibly official, but I find it to be of a touristic nature at its core.
Indeed, the U.S. president will visit the museum housing the Dead Sea Scrolls, which contradict the accounts of the Torah, and the tomb of Theodor Herzl, the founder of modern Zionism, who ended up stealing Palestine from its people, as well as the Museum of the Holocaust, the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem, and the ruins in Petra in Jordan. He will even meet with Yityish Aynaw, the current Miss Israel who is of Ethiopian origin, while the official dinner hosted by Israeli President Shimon Peres will feature dancing and singing.
This way, entertainment will be guaranteed during the official visit. Meanwhile, achieving any real progress in the peace process will be impossible. This is my personal opinion on the government of Israel, which is also shared by Palestinian Prime Minister Salam Fayyad.
President Obama gave a famous speech at the University of Cairo in 2009, in which he sought to open a new chapter with the Muslim World. However, he did not implement anything from his speech during his first term.
Today I read (and I quote the Washington Post word for word) that the supporters of Israel believe Obama focused too heavily on relations with the Islamic world early in his first term, with the result being a deep Israeli mistrust of Obama that severely undermined his early push for a new Israeli-Palestinian peace process. They even want Obama to clarify his support for the Jewish state's theory of its historical roots.
First of all, there are 1.5 billion Muslims around the world versus 15 million Jews. Any leader who wants to serve the interests of their country would seek to establish relations with a huge majority compared to a small minority.
Second, pro-Israel U.S. politicians are betraying their country. Most of them receive financial support from the Israel lobby and its supporters, which means that these politicians were bribed.
Third, if Obama invited the mistrust of Jews by seeking peace, then what did the racist government of Israel exactly want him to do? To take U.S. taxpayer money to Israel to help it displace or murder more Palestinians?
Fourth, there are no historical roots whatsoever for the Jewish state in Palestine. The Torah is not real history, which should be corroborated with archaeological finds and verified documents. These are absent in our countries when it comes to the issue of an ancient Jewish state. There were Jews, tribes and clans, yes, but no kingdoms or kings of any kind.
What exists is 196,000 settlers in Jerusalem and its immediate vicinity, and 400,000 settlers in the West Bank. What exists is an Israeli government of Nazi-like policies, comprising people like Naftali Bennett, whose parents emigrated from America, and who rejects a Palestinian state yet accepts negotiations.
But what would these negotiations be about then? What is left of Palestinian land? In my book, Bennett is yet another war criminal in training, as he too intends to deprive Palestinians from their rights in their own country.
What does the fascist government of Israel want from Obama, if it does not want peace based on the two-state solution? Bear in mind that both states would be on the land of Palestine.
The Israeli government wants Obama to declare war on Iran, which only intends to build a nuclear bomb, while turning a blind eye to Israel's real and present nuclear arsenal, owned by an aggressive expansionist state.
The Israeli government also wants the release of convicted spy Jonathan Pollard, who caused serious damage to U.S. security, after handing over classified U.S. documents to spies in the Israeli embassy in Washington D.C.
Obama said that Iran would need a year before acquiring the capability to produce a nuclear weapon. He said that he is determined to stop Iran from doing so, and stressed that all options are on the table.
I say that Netanyahu is using Iran and its alleged bomb to keep the U.S. president clear of the peace process. As for Pollard, Obama has declared that he will not release him, but said that his case may be reexamined by the courts, which is a tradition in place to commute a sentence.
In the meantime, there is no peace process or any kind of peace possible with the criminal gang in Israel.
