The American extremists have shown the true color of their hatred as they attacked a community center that is nothing more than an Islamic version of the Young Men's Christian Association (YMCA). There were more than one thousand supporters of the construction of the center, including many Jews and rabbis. However, I want to write a separate column about peace seekers and coexistence among peoples and religions. But as for the Representatives, they are both enemies of Islam and Muslims in all their stances, and I consider them to be representatives of Israel in the U.S Congress. - The Deputy Governor of Tennessee, Ron Ramsey, claims that Muslims will invade America, and they do not know how to defend their country. He is confused about whether Islam “is actually a religion or is it a nationality, way of life or cult”. The last word in English refers to the followers of someone who establishes a sect in his own name and for himself, and is usually used to describe small splinter sects, not a religion professed by a quarter of the world's population. - The former governor and permanent presidential candidate Howard Dean called for the center to be relocated away from Ground Zero, because this center is “an affront to the people who lost their lives [on 9/11]”. In other words, he is accusing all Muslims of being involved in the terrorist attacks of 11/9/2001, not al-Qaeda that was once sponsored by the United States in Afghanistan during the Soviet occupation. - More despicable than all of the above is someone I consider the brutal barbarian type similar to the prophets of the Torah. He is Marty Peretz, the publisher of the New Republic, the Likudnik publication. Peretz is an enemy of Arabs and Muslims, especially if they are Palestinians, and he also hates the Israelis who negotiate with them. Recently, he spoke with a racist, if not Nazi, tone and said that Muslims do not deserve to be included in the First Amendment to the Constitution which guarantees freedom of speech, because they kill one another, and if they are to be included by the amendment, they would abuse it. This man should be tried as a Nazi. Running out of space, I will quickly mention the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who said on Tuesday that the opposition wants to make the issue of the construction of the center a political issue. But on Wednesday, she said that she supports conducting background checks on those who support the construction of the center. This is reminiscent of President Obama's statement during an Iftar ceremony on a Saturday in the White House that it is the right of American Muslims to build a religious center wherever they want, and then backtracking on Sunday by saying that he was not commenting on the construction of an Islamic center in lower Manhattan. The media campaign orchestrated by the opponents of the Islamic center persuaded 70 percent of Americans to oppose the proposed location of the center, and increased the number of those who believe that Barack Obama is a Muslim. The campaign invoked everything from a blatant racist speech to false information, while not objecting to the burning of Korans, which is reminiscent of Hitler's book burning. One of the Likudnik sites that have a Nazi ideology said that it is not enough to oppose the construction near Ground Zero, as this means giving up 99 percent of the arguments to stop the creeping Islamization. The same website chose to promote a book against the background of the campaign and of the incitement against Muslims. The book is written by David Brog, who was the chief of staff to the pro-Israeli Senator Arlen Specter and is an Israeli lawyer. Each of these people in my opinion is an Israeli fascist. In his book's title, Brog invokes the term “the Judeo-Christian heritage”, which is a false term that was coined in the sixties and became widespread in the seventies. The United States was established on the Christian heritage, and some of the founding fathers said things about the Jews that we ourselves do not, something that Brog and his ilk no doubt know.
