Islamic Women's Associations of Russian Federation have organized the First Conference of Russian Female Muslims since 1917, the time of its suspension due to the country's participation in the First World War. The Conference was attended by representatives of all Islamic Women's Associations from all regions of the Russian Federation in the presence of the President of Russia's Mufti Council Sheikh Rawi Ainuddin. Moscow News Agency reported that the Conference has focused on the topics of the roles of Muslim women in the 21st century under the conditions of contemporary Russia, which is characterized by multiplicity of cultures, religions and races.
