Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubair said on Friday the Kingdom was satisfied with Obama's assurances over Iran nuclear deal. Jubair said that the Kingdom believes the nuclear agreement will contribute to security and stability in the Middle East. He added that Saudi Arabia hopes Iranians will use the additional income from the lifting of sanctions to fund domestic development rather than engage in nefarious activities. The foreign minister was speaking from Washington, following the meeting between U.S. President Barack Obama and Saudi King Salman, which he described as “historic.” Speaking about Syria, Jubair said that Bashar al-Assad has lost all legitimacy and has no role in future of Syria. He added that the Saudi King and Obama discussed the importance of finding political solution to end the civil war in the war-torn country. During the press conference, the foreign minister spoke about Yemen and said that the leaders looked for ways to end the conflict there. He also said that the men focused on solutions to terminate the humanitarian crisis in the war-torn country. — Al Arabiya
