The article "Working women worried as crackdown on drivers looms" (Aug. 31) points out that some Saudi working women and students are concerned that they will lose their drivers when the grace period for illegal workers ends. It occurs to me that retired expatriates who have served in the public sector for long periods could be engaged to work as drivers to provide transportation for these women. Bash Gul, Online response
