The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia organized the Saudi Night event for Australian investors and those interested in mining industry in honor of Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Al-Khorayef and Vice Minister for Mining Affairs Eng. Khalid Al-Mudaifer. The event was held on the sidelines of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's participation in the International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) being held between November 2 and 4, 2022 in Sydney, Australia. The Saudi Night seeks to promote the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's ancient and original civilization and history. It also highlights the existing development projects and the tourist geographic locations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to focusing on Saudi fashion and the diverse culture across regions. In his opening speech for the Saudi Night, the minister stressed that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is working on a national socio-economic transformation, in which tourism will be a major driver of the growth of the Saudi economy. By 2030, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia aims to attract 100 million visitors annually and increase the tourism sector's contribution to the GDP by more than 10%. Al-Khorayef said that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is eager to harness its infrastructure and expertise to lead the transition to clean energy and create a future with healthy and safe generations. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia also works to achieve the objectives of the industry and mining sector and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030. The Saudi Night is part of the Saudi delegation's official visit to Australia, which is aimed at promoting investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's mining sector through the "Invest Saudi" program.
