An earthquake measuring 6.6 on the Richter scale rocked northwest China's Qinghai Province. The American Geosciences Institute (AGI) stated tonight that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 10 kilometers and was located 140 kilometers northwest of the city of Xining. There were no reports of casualties or material damage.
