Samih Shukry, Foreign Minister of Egypt, received at his office in Cairo today visiting Foreign Minister of Malta Evarist Bartolo. During the meeting, the two sides discussed a host of bilateral and regional issues of mutual concern. Following the meeting, Ahmed Hafez, the spokesman of the foreign ministry said the two ministers confirmed the historical friedship existing between the two countries, underscoring the importance of continuing expanding the aspects of coooperation in various fields of bilateral exchanges, particularly the commercial and investment sectors. They decided the resumption of air flights betwen the two countries following coping with the repercussions of coronavirus COVID-19. The two sides also discussed the illegal immigration, the situation in neigboring Libya and the Middle East.
