Vice President of Yemen Gen. Ali Mohsen Salih met in Riyadh today with the Charge d'Affaires of the embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Yemen Yan Gerald. The Yemeni news agency quoted Salih as lashing out during the meeting at the Iran-backed Houthi militias, describing them as continuing to undermine the peace process and negligent of world community efforts aiming to bring about peace, thus deliberately doubling the suffering of Yemenis and killing innocent people. He cast light on the progress of implementing Riyadh agreement between the Yemeni government and Houthi militias, describing it as an important opportunity to unite the Yemeni ranks against the Iranian subversive plot, and expressing appreciation of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its continuing follow-up of this matter. For his part, the German senior diplomat confirmed his country's support for the security and stability of Yemen and ending the suffering of its people.
