Three people were injured late Monday after a man armed with a knife attacked them at a railway station in the English city of Manchester. Police confirmed that a man and a woman were taken to hospital with "knife injuries" after the attack, which took place just before 9pm (2100 GMT) at Manchester Victoria station, to the north of the city centre. A police officer was also being treated for a stab wound to the shoulder, police said, adding that a man had been detained.
