Saudi newspapers highlighted in their editorials today a number of issues at local, regional and international arenas. Al-Riyadh newspaper in its editorial on Canada saying that leading Canadian political, economic and media figures have asked the government of Justin Trudeau to review its bizarre position towards the Kingdom, which has badly damaged Canada's international reputation and its political and economic interests, noting that those figures saw that there was no Canadian interest in insulting an important trading partner and a country that has had power and moderation in one of the world's hottest and most turbulent regions. Okaz newspaper commented on the same topic, saying that Canada's diplomatic stalemate with the Kingdom has pushed former Canadian officials to criticize what they called "drastic diplomatic mistakes" of their country's Foreign Ministry, and Former Canadian Foreign Minister John Baird advised Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to board his plane and fly directly to Riyadh to contain the crisis with the Kingdom.
