DAKAR — The Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal Bin Farhan affirmed that the Kingdom has a leading role in combating terrorism. Speaking at the Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security on Monday, Prince Faisal said, "We support all efforts to combat terrorism and eradicate it from its roots." He stressed that terrorism poses a threat to international maritime trade and the global economy. "The Kingdom believes in multilateral international action to create a just world." He reiterated that Saudi Arabia supports the peaceful resolution of disputes and the achievement of comprehensive economic development. He also stressed that the Kingdom attaches importance to global food security and securing supply chains. Prince Faisal also expressed the Kingdom's aspiration to strengthen cooperation with Senegal. The Dakar International Forum on Peace and Security is an annual event that gathers leaders, policy makers, and multiple actors involved in peace and security. This year's two-day event is being held under the theme "Africa in the face of exogenous shocks: challenges of stability and sovereignty."
