Deputy Minister of Defense Prince Khalid Bin Salman has stressed the determination of the Saudi-led Coalition to ensure security and stability in Yemen. "During my meeting with the UN Special Envoy for Yemen, Hans Grundberg, we discussed the latest developments in Yemen and UN efforts to reach a political resolution," Prince Khalid said in statements on his Twitter account on Thursday. Grundberg said. "I appreciate the opportunity to discuss ways to end the Yemen war and ensure stability on the Arabian Peninsula with Prince Khalid bin Salman. We agreed to work closely together and I look forward to continuing cooperation." Prince Khalid also met with US Envoy for Yemen to discuss the latest developments in Yemen. He stressed the commitment of the Coalition led by Saudi Arabia to support the Yemeni government and people, and to drive efforts to reach a political resolution that achieves stability for the region. Earlier, Prince Khalid Bin Salman affirmed that Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states were striving to bring Yemen within the GCC system so that its people could enjoy security, stability and development like the people of other Gulf Arab states. He called on the wise men of Yemen to renounce any wrong notions and promises and to safeguard the free people of Yemen from the tampering of terrorist militias. — SG
