Qa'dah 13, 1431 / Oct. 21, 2010, SPA -- Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to United Kingdom, and Abdurrahman bin Hamad Al-Attiyah, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, met yesterday evening at the headquarters of the British Foreign Office with the Gulf-British Ministerial Initiative Committee headed by Secretary of State for Foreign William Jefferson Hague and participation of Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Alistair Burt. At the end of meeting, Al-Attiyah said this meeting comes as a confirmation of the strong relations between the Gulf countries and United Kingdom. "We discussed a number of issues in different fields including education, trade, energy, investment, health, environment, development and security issues as well as political issues of common interest." " The talks dealt with the issue of facilitating the granting of visas to the Gulf citizens to enter Britain, residence laws, and the preparations for the Ministerial Meeting of the Group of Friends of Yemen to be held in Riyadh next year." The Meeting was attended by Dr. Abdulaziz Bin Saleh Bin Salamah, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Culture and Information for External Information, and a number of officials.
