Oil prices rose above US$108 a barrel Wednesday, the Associated Press reported. Light, sweet crude for November delivery was up US$1.69 to US$108.30 a barrel in electronic trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange by noon in Europe. The contract fell overnight US$2.76 to settle at US$106.61. In other Nymex trading, heating oil futures rose 2.31 cents to US$3.019 a gallon, while gasoline prices rose 0.7 cent to US$2.60 a gallon. Natural gas for October delivery rose 13.8 cents to US$8.069 per 1,000 cubic feet. In London, November Brent crude rose US$1.44 to US$104.52 a barrel on the ICE Futures exchange.
