The Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO) yesterday condemned the re-publishing cartoons defaming Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, in the Danish newspapers. In a statement, the ISESCO announced its categorical rejection of any kind of offense against the Prophet (peace be upon him), noting that freedom of expression should not mean intentional defaming of Muslims beliefs and their Prophet. The republishing of such drawings will have an adverse impact and will harm the relations between Denmark and the Muslim world, the statement said. It called on the Danish government to respect the Muslim feelings, noting that hurting the feelings of Muslim community in Denmark will harm the Muslims throughout the world.
