Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Premier, Minister of Defense and Aviation and Inspector General, conveyed here today to the personnel of the King Faisal Air Base in the northern sector, congratulations of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, the supreme commander of all armed forces, on the occasion of Eid Al-Fitr. Upon arrival at the venue of the ceremony in King Faisal Hall at the base accompanied by Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Tabuk Region, the Crown Prince was received by commander of the northern sector of the air forces Major General Homood Alshihri and senior officers. A speech ceremony was held on the occasion. In his speech, Commander of the northern sector of the air forces welcomed the Crown Prince and hailed efforts exerted by the Saudi leaders to develop the armed forces in general and the air forces in particular. In this regard, he mentioned the air forces' recent acquisition of the Typhoon fighters and modernization of the F-15 and Tornado planes. Crown Prince Sultan, then, made a statement congratulating the personnel and commending their efforts. He urged them to train well on these advanced weapons. Afterwards, Crown Prince Sultan graced the luncheon held in his honor by the command of the base. Then, he left the venue of the ceremony. The ceremony was attended by a number of princes and officials. Later, the Crown Prince left the region. He was seen off by Prince Fahd bin Sultan bin Abdul-aziz and high-ranking officials.
