Security forces have gunned down a biker believed to have tried to attack a checkpoint in the Bangladeshi capital Dhaka, police said on Saturday. Members of the crime-busting Rapid Action Battalion fired as the biker was trying to throw something at a checkpoint at Shekher Jaiga neighbourhood of Dhaka, leaving the man dead on the scene, dpa quoted battalion officer Shakhawat Hossain as saying. "Later, we found a huge amount of explosives attached to his body, the officer said adding that the man might have planned to explode the bombs at the check point early in the morning.
