In presence of Dr. Majed bin Abdullah Al-Kassabi, Minister of Commerce and Investment, and Minister of Defense of Portugal Dr. Jose Alberto Lopez, the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committee concluded here today its meetings. In his speech, Dr. Al-Kassabi stressed importance of enhancing cooperation in the fields of trade and investment between the two countries. He stressed that "the Kingdom Vision 2030" is based on Arab and Islamic depth, strength of investment, and importance of the Kingdom geographical and strategic location. He added that the Kingdom is keen to enhance cooperation of investment and trade with all countries in the world. For his part, the Portuguese Defense Minister stressed that the meetings of the 3rd session of the Saudi-Portuguese Joint Committee contributed in enhancing partnership between the two countries, stressing that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia represents a main partner in the Middle East. The two sides agreed to coordinate efforts to enhance trade exchange and importance of expanding cooperation among the private sectors in the two countries in addition to holding a round of negotiations to encourage agreement and protection of investments between the two countries.
