Senior Council of Ulema: Commitment to the brotherhood of Faith and bond of Islam dictate shielding Hajj against whatever disturbs unity and counters the higher principles of worship, pursuit of piety and righteousness
The Senior Council of Ulema emphasized that the highest ends of Hajj are the glorification the sanctities of the holy places of Allah; and the veneration of the ritual of Hajj is achieved in having it performed in the way the Prophet (peace be upon him) did. To initiate what has not been endorsed by Allah in the Quran, nor by the Prophet (peace be upon him) in his Tradition has no relevance to the glorification of the sanctity of Hajj. This is especially the case when such an act or acts disturb and harm worshipers, and invade the serenity and peacefulness with which the ritual ought to be carried out. The Senior Council of Ulema, therefore, emphasized that the commitment to the brotherhood of Faith and bond of Islam dictate shielding Hajj against whatever disturbs unity and counters the higher principles of worship, pursuit of piety and righteousness. The rights of brotherhood in Islam demand that any possibility leading to disturbance, disorder, disruption, or polemics, be avoided no matter under whatever justifications it may be advanced. To exploit the event of Hajj for such ends has never been sanctioned by the faith of Islam; nor is it anything less than abusing the sanctity of the holy places and the rituals of Hajj. --More
