A Saudi youth inventor was awarded the International Commercial Innovation Cup, annually organized by a Copenhagen-based international institution, in recognition of creating a Smart Boat that uses a simplified technology to unveil maritime pollution, it was reported here today. In remarks to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Abdulaziz bin Mash-hoor Al-Shamakhi/26/, the young inventor, said he came first of 20 innovators selected for the prize finals out of 700 contesters from 40 countries to run for the prize. He gave an account on his personal experience showing how fond he was with physics since his early study at school and university. Summarizing the idea, he said that the smart boat uses solar energy in coastal areas and oceans.
