Eleven civilians were wounded Tuesday when suspected extremists lobbed a grenade at a military truck in the southern Philippines, the military said, according to dpa. The grenade missed the target and instead hit the civilians in front of a school in Jolo town on Jolo Island, 1,000 kilometres south of Manila, said Colonel Bernardino Sun, an army brigade commander. The military truck was on its way back to camp after a supply run when the attack occurred, he added.
