The Competition Council has started the implementation of the fourth awareness campaign aiming at spreading the culture of fair competition to enlighten the business sector on the most prominent irregularities of trade establishments under the banner "violations of fair competition." The campaign focuses on the high market share of the dominant establishments, which have the ability to influence the prevailing market price, and due to the status of these dominant establishments, they may carry out practices prejudicing fair competition, including linking the sale of a commodity or providing a service in exchange for another commodity which restricts the consumer's freedom and violates the competition system. The Secretary General of the Competition Council Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Qassim said in a statement today that the campaign is considered the last one of the first year, during which the Council issued (60) press advertisements in various daily newspapers, and produced four television advertisements which explained the work and functions of the Council, and shedding light on the most common and widespread irregularities in the business sector, within the project of spreading the culture of competition including several awareness campaigns which began in mid 2014 lasting for three years. --More 13:25 LOCAL TIME 10:25 GMT تغريد
