Speaking before the 2nd international conference in charge of nutrition which kicked off in Rome yesterday, Dr. Fahd bin Abdulrahman Balghunaim, Minister of Agriculture, who led his country's delegation to the conference being held from 19-21 November, gave a review of the efforts his country has exerted in the provision of food and development of agriculture. He said Saudi Arabia has for decades adopted a policy targeting enhancing programs that lead to upgrading the supply of the required food, improving nutrition, developing agriculture and other related sectors, including the provision of clean water, health care, sewage drainage, education, and social care, a package that led to reaching satisfying levels of nutrition for most population.
