The Secretary General of the Federation of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Arab States' chambers Abdulrahim Hassan Naqi said that investors in Japan know that about 1.7 billion Muslims around the world benefit from Halal trade valued at more than 3.5 trillion dollars in 2012. He added that in the light of expectations that Halal products trade will continue their growth with rates not less than 5% per year to reach about 6.4 trillion dollars in 2020, there are investment opportunities estimated at 2.9 trillion dollars waiting to enter in the field of Halal products during the next eight years generating employment opportunities in various countries around the world. Naqi's remarks came in a speech during the participation of the Federation of GCC countries' chambers in the activities of the "Halal Summit" held recently in Japan to familiarize the Japanese public with the trade of Halal.
