Spain's economy enjoyed growth of 0.6 per cent in the second quarter, the INE statistics agency reported Wednesday, according to dpa. The quarter-on-quarter growth, which exceeded market expectations, is the strongest since the fourth quarter of 2007. The Spanish central bank had forecast growth of 0.5 per cent. Quarterly growth stood at 1.2 per cent on an annualized basis.
