The Saudi Arabian Airlines (SAUDIA)'s international classification in the field of air services and products was upgraded from the third to the fourth star class according to SkyTrax, a London-based group specialized in assessing aviation companies services and products since 2001. An announcement by SkyTrax said SAUDIA was awarded the prize of the best economy class seats, the best comfort means at the first class at the industry's level ratings and nominated the airlines to the prize of the best international company in terms of improvement of services and products. Abdulaziz bin Raheem Al-Hazmi, SAUDIA's acting head of Transport Sector received the prizes at a special ceremony held in London on the sidelines of Vanbrugh International Aviation Exhibition last night. In a statement to SPA, Al-Hazmi expressed appreciation of Prince Fahd bin Abdullah bin Mohammed, President of the General Commission for Civil Aviation, who is also Chairman of the Board of Directors of SAUDIA, for his follow-up and guidance for further improvement of the service. Al-Hazmi said the SkyTrax Rating process includes more than 180 items of the service on the ground and aboard the plane, vowing that SAUDIA is currently gearing forward to score the fifth star level.
