Nigeria's army killed 50 members of Boko Haram military group in northern Borno State, the Defense Ministry said Monday. The insurgents were killed during an ambush near the village of Biltaat over the weekend, according to spokesman Chris Olukolade. Soldiers also confiscated 30 rifles, 36 hand grenades, seven machine guns, 11 rocket-propelled grenades, four vehicles and more than 3,500 rounds of ammunition. Four soldiers were wounded during the operation, according to Olukolade.
