The Brazilian government says unemployment in Brazil fell to a record low in 2013. According to AP, Brazil's IBGE statistics bureau says Thursday that the jobless rate in December was a record low of 4.3 percent in December, bringing the country's average unemployment rate in 2013 to 5.4 percent, the lowest it has ever been. This was just slightly lower than the 5.5 percent unemployment rate registered in 2012. Labor Ministry figures show that 1.2 million new payroll jobs were created last year.
