British Foreign Office Minister for Middle Eastern and North African Affairs Alistair Burt arrived in Tripoli, Libya, on a two-day official visit to the Arab North African Mediterranean country during which he is scheduled to meet with a number of Libyan officials. In a statement upon arrival, he said the new Libyan government faces numerous challenges, including improvement of security all through the country and enhancement of judiciary system. He vowed that the British government would continue its support for Libya in this transitional period.
