RIYADH: A Tharafeen Basheer brace helped Yara International School Riyadh blank New Middle East International School 2-0 in the 2nd Keli Inter-School Football here last week. The New Middle East International School attacked first as Yara took time to settle down. Once, however, Yara had gained momentum it began attacking and eventually held an upper hand. Tharafeen Basheer received a pass from Mohamed AlKaf and struck a powerful shot which grazed goalkeeper Shaheer's fingers and went into the goal in the 10th minute. Tharafeen scored the second on a pass from Farhan, who dribbled past opponents before passing it on to Tharafeen to tap it into the goal. The move had initially started on a counter-attack initiated by defender Mohamed Al-Kaf. In another match the International Indian School Riyadh (IISR) settled for a goalless draw against defending champion International Indian Public School (IIPS). The tournament was inaugurated by Anwar Sadat, Operations Manager, Gmart. The top teams from the two groups will qualify for the final, set for April 22. __
